  • Youth Unemployment and Political Instability: A Global Perspective

    Abstract

    Youth unemployment has become a pressing worldwide concern with considerable ramifications for political stability especially in emerging and transitional countries. This research examines the correlation between elevated youth unemployment rates and the emergence of political instability emphasising how economic disenfranchisement among the youth fosters social discontent protest movements and in severe instances violence. The study employs statistical analysis and case studies from several locations to underscore the impact of young unemployment on political discontent diminishing faith in government and heightened vulnerability to radical ideologies. The results indicate that areas with chronic young unemployment are at an increased risk of political instability intensified by variables like inequality insufficient education and restricted economic possibilities.
